Paula Araújo da Silva is Director-General for Cultural Heritage since 11 January 2016. She holds a degree in Architecture from the School of Fine Arts of Porto and a Master in Archaeology from the University of Minho. She coordinated measure 3.9 of the Portuguese Culture and Heritage programme, within the 3rd Portuguese Community Support framework, collaborated with the Porto energy agency in preparing the handbook of good practices in energy efficiency of buildings in Porto and was responsible for setting up the North Region Heritage Space in the Monastery of Serra do Pilar.

Paula Araújo da Silva was Director of the North Region Directorate for Culture from 2009 to 2013 and head of the Heritage and Museums Division of the Porto City Hall between 2014 and 2015.
