Mainstream politics advocate more sustainable growth, since any solution other than growth seems unacceptable to many people. On the other hand, activists believe that people need to make a radical shift in their mindsets and lifestyles.

  • ICOMOS Workshop: Learning from Ahrtal – Climate, Resilience and Heritage

    The three-day workshop, located in Aachen and Ahrtal, will focus on built heritage, specifically studying the case of Nepomukbrücke in Rech. It will consist of a mixture of lectures, teamwork, and presentations of participants' outcomes related to the specific tasks announced during the workshop.

  • Digital Storytelling Festival 2024

    Every year, the Europeana Initiative runs the Digital Storytelling Festival. The international event encourages cultural heritage professionals, educators, creatives, and students from Europe and beyond to boost their storytelling skills and tell stories exploring culture. We hope our two-day event of talks, showcases and hands-on workshops will inspire participants to create connections between art, culture and history and the contemporary world.

  • EHHF Annual Meeting 2024

    The 18th edition of the Forum is scheduled for May 2024, under the Polish presidency of the Troika. The members will meet in Krakow, Poland, for a meeting whose theme and programme will be announced shortly.

  • 8th Architectural Finishes Research

    An international conference on finishes of built heritage, organized by the Low Countries

    From May 29 through 1 June 2024, the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE) will host the Architectural Finishes Research Conference in Amsterdam. We will do so in collaboration with renowned partners on this subject in the Low Countries: Koninklijk Instituut voor het Kunstpatrimonium/Institut Royal du Patrimoine Artistique (KIK/IRPA), SRAL -The Conservation Institute, Vrije Universiteit Brussel and University of Amsterdam.
